The Seven Deadly Sins:

Lust, Avarice, Gluttony, Envy, Pride, Sloth, Wrath

A comment ficathon with a very simple theme - your prompt must relate somehow to one of the 7 Cardinal Sins.  Perhaps it's that character A can't control their attraction to character B?  Or does C have something that D desperately covets?  Does pride come before a fall?  And is there such a thing as too much of a good (or bad) thing?  Prompt away in the comments, and others should come along to write a story for you.

ALL FANDOMS ARE WELCOME.  ALL PAIRINGS ARE PERMITTED.

Miranda is incensed that no one picked up her call. She returns to Runway in full Dragon mode, spewing fire immolating any in her path. Demolishing hopes and dreams during a pushed up run through as clackers scurry and jump to do her bidding.

DWP Mirandy, Why Patricia won't eat... (PART 1/2)

I've urmm...never written anything before but I wanted to try it. So heres my first ever attempt.

Patricia has been with her Miranda for as long as she can remember. And a dogs memory is surprisingly good. In fact, Patricia can remember all the times that she’s been envious of her mistress.
The first time involved steak. She had dry (albeit very expensive) dog food and Miranda had juicy and succulent steak, and used to throw away the bone, and boy did she want that bone. So, without really meaning too, Patricia stopped eating and started waiting. Wanting to help her dog, and doing so whilst muttering about the incompetence of veterinary staff in the New York district, Miranda gave Patricia her steak bone and everything was good again.
Then, and Patricia didn’t really understand why, Miranda suddenly stopped eating steaks in the evening. She also began to grow around the middle, subtly at first but then more obviously. Patricia with her good memory had seen other humans in this state during her walks, and decided it wasn’t worth too much thought- until the noises of pain began. That night was the first night that Patricia heard her mistress voice raise and she didn’t like it. Getting confused in the whirlwind of activity, and knowing she wasn’t allowed past the first set of stairs, she kept her head low, and it was three whole days before she saw Miranda again, with two smaller humans.
This became the second time she was envious. Patricia missed the times she spent with Miranda, as her mistress was spending more and more time involved with the two miniature humans. Patricia also missed steak bones, and since Miranda had begun to get them at lunch, she didn’t get the treat anymore. Remembering what worked last time, she began to neglect her food in return for attention. And slowly it was returned, her mistress demanding that an assistant dropped off bones and treats and other such wonderful things (that included and new bed made out of the softest material)

The third time was a sad time, and Patricia couldn’t bring herself to be jealous of Miranda until the fighting had ended, and with her mistress in tears, she was led up the stairs. That night she kept her best friend company and when Miranda had finally fallen asleep and the tears had ended, she jumped up onto the bed and settled down onto what felt like a cloud. It was warm, it was soft and it definitely wasn’t a corner of the kitchen. New dog bed or not, this way of sleeping was so much better. And bigger. It didn’t make sense that her mistresses bed needed to be so big since the two smaller pack members didn’t sleep in here. But it became one of her treats that Patricia lived for. Bittersweet, since it was only allowed to happen when her mistress was upset.
And now this new person has entered Patricia and Miranda’s life. It was going lovely for ages, and now its not. Like the twins, her mistresses attention is nearly always focussed on the new human. There have even been times when she has heard her mistress cry out again, and she suspects the new human is responsible since Miranda calls out her name. And to add insult to injury, shes not allowed to sleep on the cloud anymore because this new human has started to stay in there.
Patricia is jealous. So she stops eating. She feels bad when Miranda begins to worry, but she must help her best friend realise that this new human is not good for her. Maybe Miranda will see what the problem is and get rid of this Andrea.
It was all going to plan until Andrea ruined it by coming home with the biggest bone she’d ever seen. Miranda wasn’t home yet and new woman started making delicious smelling food. Placing the bone next to her bed Andrea bent down to scratch behind Patricias ears (her favourite ever place if she went a little to the left, oh yeah, just...there) Now Patricia wasn’t an expert on the human language, but she understood the basics. Could even do a few tricks when the right words were spoken. But she definately knew the word ‘love’ as Miranda said it to her and her pack members all the time.

“Oh girl, what am I going to do? I’m in love with your mistress.”
“Love?”
Andrea spun round to face the doorframe where Miranda was stood. Deciding not to back down she spoke again
“I-I knew we were just going to see how things went, and I know you didn’t want to rush anything and....well yes. Miranda I love you. Sorry.”
“Well. This works out rather nicely since I love you too”

Even with her memory, Patricia couldn’t remember a time where her mistress smile was quite so dazzling. Giving a sideways glance to the bone that was laying next to her she decided that if this Andrea person was going to be the cause of it, that might not be such a bad thing.
