I totally hear you on the Zach thing (I love constructive criticism!). I changed my mind about his development as a character, and I think he's suffered for it. My initial plan was to have Cuddy throw away something with the actual perfect guy for House, but she's just so practical and sensible that I couldn't make it happen without betraying her. (At least that's what it felt like).
