"I give up" what a powerful line in of itself, but within the context of the backstory that you've crafted here it's even more significant. You've created a situation where a person who doesn't "give up" must and it leaves us wondering if she'll be strong enough to not give up on "giving up". I worry that she will be, not for her sake, but for House's.
